Vienna Woods

A couple with a toddler and baby wanted a quiet, no-kid zone they could retreat to when not tending to the children. Kelly Marino Designs re-imagined the primary bedroom and unused sitting room to create an inviting place to sleep and relax. A mix of masculine and feminine elements in a cream-and-black motif make for a soothing, peaceful setting. Black walls and custom Roman shades with a checkered pattern appeal to the masculine senses, while floral custom drapery and a large botanical print on the wall have a more feminine aesthetic. New task lighting allows for reading, and a large television (not shown) provides a place for movie watching. On the bedroom side, we replaced the bed with a new one, incorporating creamy upholstery and a dark, rich wood finish, while the original dresser received new hardware to soften the look.
