Chevy Chase Bathrooms

After a major kitchen renovation, these home owners felt that the outdated bathrooms, too, could benefit from a makeover. This project included the main-level powder room, and an upstairs Jack-and-Jill bathroom. The goal for the powder room was to achieve serene elegance without it feeling too formal, and functionality for the two teenage girls who share the Jack-and-Jill. For the powder room, details such as vinyl wallpaper that mimics woven, natural paper; and a Carrara mosaic marble floor tile took the lead for the powder room. The Jack-and-Jill was designed using light colors and clean lines. A slightly textured white and light gray tile was chosen for the shower wall and provided the the jumping off point for the overall design, with the new vanity and hardware following. The result for both brings a lightness and brightness that feels fresh and clean.
